Getting things done for people has been the hallmark of Tara Johnson’s life as a La Crosse County Board Member, Executive Director of the United Way of La Crosse, a former union member, mom, and proud Democrat. She spent more than 30 years of her professional life fighting for the people of Western Wisconsin and bringing people together to tackle some of her community’s most challenging and urgent issues.

Tara is running for State Assembly to create economic opportunity, restore a woman’s right to choose, protect our democracy, and fight for rural Wisconsin communities that are too often left behind. As a mom in a proud union family, Tara understands the importance of family-supporting wages and access to affordable, quality healthcare, education, and childcare. Tara is proud to live in Western Wisconsin and will protect our beautiful land and water, expand broadband access, and invest in our infrastructure. In the State Assembly, she’ll continue to be a tireless advocate for the people of Wisconsin.
