WHAT TARA STANDS FOR
Tara knows that the future of Wisconsin relies on good policy and with new maps we have a real opportunity to do bring change to the 96th Assembly District.
Protecting and expanding reproductive freedom
Ensuring everyone has access to clean air and water
Increasing access to affordable healthcare, childcare and housing
Supporting family farms and small businesses to promote economic growth
Fully funding and supporting public education
Restoring collective bargaining rights
EDUCATION
-
Strong public schools build strong communities. In the State Assembly Tara will fight to renew the state’s 2/3rds funding promise for k-12 public schools. She will also work to properly fund tech schools, colleges, and apprenticeship programs.
-
It is important to support our public school and public teachers. In part this comes in the form of attracting and retaining outstanding teachers. In the legislature Tara will work to repeal act 10, restore bargaining rights, and raise teacher’s salaries
HEALTHCARE
-
Reproductive freedoms are under attack in Wisconsin and across our country. In the State Assembly Tara will fight to repeal Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban and codify roe into state law.
-
Tara will vote to accept federal Medicare dollars to expand badger care which will cover an additional 90,000 Wisconsinites.
AFFORDABILITY
-
Child care is vitally important. In the Assembly Tara will work to bring down the cost of child care and make it more affordable. This can be done by continuing to fund the child care counts program.
-
Tara will work in the state legislature to pass legislature to bring down the cost of housing
